Kevin Conneff is internationally recognised as bodhrán player and vocalist with The Chieftains, with whom he performed for over four decades. His distinctive bodhrán playing and singing have been central to the group’s sound, and he has toured extensively worldwide, performing in major concert halls and collaborating with leading musicians across many genres. He is widely respected for his contribution to Irish traditional music both as a performer and ambassador for the tradition.
Joe McKenna is a renowned Irish uilleann piper and whistle player, celebrated for his distinctive style, instrument craftsmanship, and lifelong contribution to Irish traditional music. Widely regarded as one of the finest pipers of his generation, he has performed and recorded extensively throughout Ireland and internationally, both as a solo artist and alongside his late wife and musical partner, Antoinette McKenna. In addition to the uilleann pipes and whistle, he also performs on button accordion and as a singer.
Tony Byrne is a Dublin traditional Irish guitarist and accompanist, known for his sensitive and supportive playing in traditional music and song settings. As guitarist with The Dublin Trio, he accompanies the uilleann pipes and song of Kevin Conneff and Joe McKenna, providing a strong rhythmic and harmonic foundation rooted in the Irish traditional music tradition.
