Ravensdale

Ravensdale is a folk band founded in Ireland, heavily inspired by the Early Medieval period.
Musically, their compositions draw on a variety of influences from the era and are sung in Old Norse, Slavic, English, and Germanic, drawing on Slavic and Nordic lore.

Founded by Eric Eiresson (a.k.a. Eric von Ravensdale), the group began by performing at local historical reenactment shows in Ireland and have since taken on new challenges and audiences at much larger events.
Ravensdale has performed at numerous shows with various artists (including Corvus Corax, Seidrblot, Solfyr, to name a few) in both Ireland and the UK.

Some notable festivals include the Boyne Valley Viking Experience in Slane, the Valhalla Viking Festival (UK), the Jorvik Viking Festival (UK), and the Magnus Barelegs Festival (NI).

The group is also recognised internationally, thanks to their reach on social media and a variety of posts reflecting an original take on the Early Medieval period.
