Dynamics Vocal Ensemble is an eight-voice vocal group united by a shared passion for choral music spanning from the Renaissance to the present day. Their repertoire includes works by early composers such as Farmer and Monteverdi, alongside later composers including Alfvén, Pärt, and Taverner, reflecting their interest in exploring both historical and contemporary choral traditions.
Alongside their core classical repertoire, the ensemble also enjoys performing lighter programmes, with arrangements ranging from the Beatles to the Beach Boys, demonstrating their versatility and engagement with a wide range of musical styles.
Formed in 2018 by a collective of friends and experienced singers with strong musical backgrounds, Dynamics Vocal Ensemble has developed a reputation for thoughtful and expressive performances. They have appeared in churches, arts centres, and choral festivals, crafting programmes that move naturally between Renaissance polyphony and modern Irish choral music.
The ensemble has performed internationally, including appearances in Budapest, and has enjoyed notable success at the National Choral Festivals of Cork and Derry.
Dynamics Vocal Ensemble have been invited to visit the Camerata Choir of Wieliczka, Poland this year. The two groups look forward to performing together in a concert in October and Dynamics Vocal Ensemble are particularly excited about an opportunity to sing in the famous Wieliczka Salt Mine as part of the trip.
