Catherine Rhatigan, Eileen Carr and Treasa Ni Mhiollain return to the Ancient Music Festival of Dorlindon this year with a delightful new programme.
The repertoire features music and songs from the Irish tradition dedicated to forests and forest animals and birds. There are many of them, often overlooked, many beautiful and simple, and some of course, quite complex.
The trio will also play music and songs composed about women in older Irish society.
The performance brings together traditional songs and tunes inspired by the cornerstones of everyday life in Ireland in times gone past; nature, women, and animals, music and song!
Treasa, has also promised to teach us all a simple song in Irish for anyone who wants to learn one, so you have a musical memory to take home from your magical afternoon in Dorlindon Forest.
This summer, experience the celebration of Ancient Music in one of Ireland’s most enchanting natural settings, Dorlindon Nature Sanctuary.
Tickets can only be purchased online on Powertik or on Eventbrite.
Useful things to know to attend the events.

A contribution from proceeds will go to the Children’s Health Foundation, adding heart to every performance.
Children's Health Foundation raises vital funds to support sick children and their families in Children's Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres in Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly. This support includes funding vital life-saving equipment and providing essential patient and parental supports to making ground-breaking, paediatric research possible.
